The Youth Academies, which Ankara Metropolitan Municipality has implemented with the understanding of equal opportunities in education, have become the new meeting point for young people. These modern centers, which provide services in Sıhhiye, Çayyolu, Ulus and Batıkent, provide free services to students, academics and teachers. In November, 22 thousand students benefited from these Youth Academies.
EDUCATION AND SOCIAL LIFE ARE SUPPORTED AT FOUR POINTS
Operating under the Ankara Metropolitan Municipality Youth and Sports Services Department, Young Academies provide students with a comfortable and contemporary study environment. In addition to study areas, they also provide sound and silent libraries, individual and group study areas, music rooms, art workshops, pilates and yoga halls, multi-purpose activity areas, game areas such as table tennis, darts, and table football, and free internet service.
Teachers and academics can also benefit from the academies, which offer an ideal environment for high school, university, graduate and doctoral students, as well as young people preparing for exams.
The only thing required for membership is a student ID card.
THERE WAS 22 THOUSAND PARTICIPATION IN ONE MONTH
Youth Services Branch Manager Erdal Demir said that 22 thousand people entered these centers in November alone.
Demir said, “Our academies, which appeal to young people between the ages of 15-35, have individual and group study areas, meeting rooms and different activity sections. We increase our service quality by making improvement studies in line with the opinions of our students. We are expecting all young people studying in Ankara to our academies.”
MEETING POINT FOR YOUNG PEOPLE
Libraries Manager Can Çelik stated that the Young Academies have attracted great interest from young people since the day they were opened and said, "We offer our young people a pleasant working environment with our silent and loud working areas, rich information resources and technological infrastructure."
