'Goats Without Going Crazy' Exhibition Meets Art Audience

Evrim Art Gallery is home to Mehmet Kına, one of the important names in mosaic art. “Goats Without Goating the Goats” opened its exhibition titled “The Art of the World” on Saturday, November 30th. Leading figures from the art community and art lovers came together at the opening cocktail party of the exhibition.

Artist Mehmet Kına shared the following thoughts about the exhibition:

“This exhibition consists of mosaic paintings that examine the process of goats and humans living together. Turkmens, who formed a life together with deer in Central Asia, started living with goats instead of deer when they came to Anatolia. Goats and deer do not have much difficulty in this transition because they have similar behavioral patterns. The language that Turkmens have formed over a thousand years of living together with goats is also reflected in the artist’s works. Therefore, the names of the works also reflect this situation.”

Among the works in the exhibition: “Goats That Escaped From The Herd”"Security"“The Fruit Tree’s Test with the Goats”“The Head of the Cistern”“To the Barracks with the New Capricorn”“Bagged Goat“, “There is a Black Body” and “Milking” There are remarkable names such as. This exhibition offers the opportunity to witness the test of mosaic art with goats. A new one is added to the aestheticization of the goat in archaeological mosaic panels found in Anatolia throughout history.

Betül Ketenci, the founder of Evrim Art Gallery, emphasized that she was honored to host this special exhibition of the valuable artist Mehmet Kına. We are waiting for all art lovers who want to see the works that have received great appreciation from the audience to Evrim Art Gallery.

The exhibition can be visited at Evrim Art Gallery until December 18, 2024.
