Minister of National Education Yusuf Tekin stated that with their efforts, they have increased the pre-school education enrollment rate to 2023 percent (gross) at the age of 2024 in the 5-95,44 academic year, and said, "Thus, according to the OECD's Education at a Glance Report, we have made Turkey the country that has achieved the greatest increase in pre-school education among all countries."
Minister Tekin, in his statement on his social media account, emphasized that the foundation of children's lifelong development process is shaped by small but important steps taken in the first years of life.
Tekin emphasized that the skills acquired in pre-school education increase the child's ability to cope with the difficulties he will encounter in his later life and in the next level of education, and also enable him to be more successful, happy and productive, and noted the following:
“As a ministry, we attach importance to the pre-school education period, which was neglected before 2002, and we continue our determination to carry our children to a more prosperous future by shaping our work with this awareness. With our work, we have increased the pre-school education enrollment rate, which was 1992 percent in 5,1 and could only be increased to 1992 percent between 2002-11,5, to 2023 percent (gross) at age 2024 in the 5-95,44 academic year. Thus, according to the OECD's 'Education at a Glance Report', we have made Turkey the country that achieved the greatest increase in pre-school education among all countries.”
Tekin stated that they will continue to introduce children to new and different studies in early childhood and preschool education, shaped by national and spiritual values in the light of science.
