There Will Be No Child Who Cannot Swim in Konya

The 4th term training of the “Let There Be No One Who Doesn’t Know How to Swim” project, carried out in collaboration with the Konya Metropolitan Municipality and the Provincial Directorate of National Education, continues with great excitement. Konya Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Uğur İbrahim Altay stated that, as in every year, they introduced 3rd grade students to swimming with the “Let There Be No One Who Doesn’t Know How to Swim” project and said, “8 students from Meram, Karatay, Karapınar and Ereğli are participating in the project. I wish our children a healthy life.”

The fourth term training continues as part of the “Let No One Remain Unable to Swim” project of the Konya Metropolitan Municipality, which aims to provide students with basic swimming skills.

Konya Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Uğur İbrahim Altay said that they attach importance to supporting the development of children and young people not only in academic areas but also through social and sports activities.

Noting that they introduced 3rd grade students to swimming with the project “Let No One Leave You Unable to Swim”, President Altay said, “This term, a total of 85 students from 8 schools in the districts of Meram, Karatay, Karapınar and Ereğli are participating in the project. The fourth term of our training, which consists of two terms of 500 weeks each, continues with enthusiasm. The trainings carried out during school hours allow our children to have fun while also contributing to their physical and mental development. I would like to thank those who contributed to the project we carried out with the Provincial Directorate of National Education in Konya to prepare our children for a healthier future, and I wish our children a healthy life.”

Students who participated in the project and received swimming training said that they were happy because they had fun and learned how to swim.

The 16-week training sessions, accompanied by expert swimming coaches, are organized in separate sessions for boys and girls. Lessons are held in the pools closest to the students' schools.
