Ankara Metropolitan Municipality continues to build modern pedestrian overpasses at busy points of the city in order to both ease traffic flow and ensure the life safety of pedestrians and drivers.
While the construction of 24 new overpasses is being carried out by the Department of Studies and Projects and the Department of Urban Aesthetics, the construction of a total of 14 overpasses has started in the districts of Altındağ, Çubuk, Çankaya, Etimesgut, Mamak and Keçiören. The project process of the overpasses to be built at 11 different points of the city is ongoing.
Ankara Metropolitan Municipality continues to increase the number of pedestrian overpasses in the capital in order to both ease the traffic flow and ensure the life safety of pedestrians and drivers.
For this purpose, the Department of Studies and Projects and the Department of Urban Aesthetics, which brought 24 modern pedestrian overpasses to the capital and are currently under construction for 14 of them, continue the project work for 15 new overpasses.
MODERN, AESTHETIC AND ELEVATOR OVERPASSES
The Metropolitan Municipality, which is implementing transportation projects aimed at easing city traffic one by one, is increasing the number of pedestrian overpasses every day, also prioritizing life safety in the Capital.
The aim of the elevator overpasses built on busy streets and boulevards where traffic is fast and dense is to ensure the transportation safety of cyclists, disabled citizens and pedestrians.
Yunus Emre Bostancı, Head of Construction Works at the Urban Aesthetics Department, stated that they continue to build modern pedestrian overpasses at busy points of our city and gave the following information:
“The construction of a total of 24 overpasses has been completed by the Department of Research and Projects and the Department of Urban Aesthetics, and the construction of 14 overpasses is ongoing. In addition, the project work for our overpasses to be built at 15 different points of our city has come to an end.”
