Deadline for Applications for Conservatory Exam Preparation in Izmir: December 15

Izmir Metropolitan Municipality is organizing conservatory exam preparation classes for young people who want to develop their careers in music. High school seniors who can apply until December 15th will take the admission exams on December 21st.

Within the scope of Izmir Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Dr. Cemil Tugay’s goal of making Izmir a “youth-friendly city,” many projects targeting young people are being implemented. One of the practices implemented so that young people living in Izmir do not fall short in the fields of culture-art, entertainment, personal development and employment is the conservatory exam preparation lessons. Young people who aim to receive academic education in the field of music and shape their careers as artists are given lessons by expert instructor Dr. Mustafa Bayık. Thanks to the preparation lessons, four students who are preparing for the exams in 2024 have earned the right to study at the Ege University State Turkish Music Conservatory Turkish Art Music Main Branch, Dokuz Eylül University Faculty of Fine Arts Music Technologies and Dokuz Eylül University Faculty of Fine Arts Musicology departments.

Applications started

The application process for high school seniors who want to attend the courses organized by Genç İzmir, which operates under the Youth and Sports Services Department, Youth Studies Branch Directorate, will continue until Sunday, December 15. The admission exam will be held on Saturday, December 21 at 10.00:10 at the Bornova Youth Campus in Macera Park İzmir. Candidates who will take the exam will be given voice exercises such as single voice, double voice, triple voice chord hearing, melody repeat, rhythm hearing and rhythm repeat. The XNUMX successful candidates will gain the right to attend the courses and will be prepared for the special talent exams of the Music Teaching or Musicology departments of university education faculties, the Performing Arts Department of state conservatories, the Opera-Singing Department and the Turkish Music State Conservatory.
