Kocaeli Metropolitan Municipality has started work on the square project that will be built on the area vacated by the demolished old tax office. Mayor Tahir Büyükakın, who gave the good news a while ago in the area where the old tax office was located, had made the statement, “This place will become a place that will serve people.” In the project that will be built in front of the School of Sirs, one of the city’s iconic historical places; a cafe, tea house, amphitheater, resting and children’s playgrounds will be built. Metropolitan teams have started landscaping in the project planned as a place that will be the continuation of Cumhuriyet Boulevard.
NEW LIVING SPACE FROM METROPOLITAN
The Metropolitan Municipality, which brings together citizens living in Kocaeli with more green areas every passing day and offers ideal environments for them to spend peaceful time in touch with nature, adds a new one to these beauties. The landscaping work for the area in front of the historical Sörler School, which was vacated from the tax office that was demolished a while ago, has begun. The “İzmit Tepecik Neighborhood Square Arrangement” project, carried out by the Department of Parks and Gardens, will bring liveliness to the region. Accordingly, two simit cafes, a tea house, amphitheater, resting and children's playgrounds will be built on an area of 2 square meters. The project, in which entrance ramps, stairs and green area arrangements will also be made, will add a different beauty and value to the city.
TRADESMEN WILL NOT HAVE ANY PROBLEMS
The Metropolitan Municipality will continue its work to complete the project as long as weather conditions allow. In this context, teams have taken the necessary precautions in the region to prevent tradesmen and citizens from being victimized.
