In Turkey to mark the 100th anniversary of the establishment of Turkish-Japanese diplomatic relations, Japanese Crown Prince and Princess Akishino visited the Kaman Kalehöyük Archaeological Museum together with Vice President Cevdet Yılmaz.
The delegation first examined the Kalehöyük excavation site in Kaman district, supported by the Japanese government, and then visited the Japanese Anatolian Archaeology Institute, the Kaman Kalehöyük Archaeology Museum, built in 2009 with the cooperation of the Japanese and Turkish governments, and the Japanese Garden, one of the largest botanical gardens outside Japan's borders, and received a briefing from the Head of the Japanese Anatolian Archaeology Institute, Archaeologist Sachihiro Omura, and the Museum Director İzzet Esen.
Deputy Minister of Culture and Tourism Serdar Çam, Governor Murat Sefa Demiryürek, Member of Parliament Necmettin Erkan and other protocol members attended the visits.
Following the program here, Vice President Cevdet Yılmaz and his delegation visited the Kaman Government House and received a briefing from District Governor Nurullah Kaya, and from Kaman Mayor Emre Demirci during his visit to the Municipality, about the ongoing investments in the district.
