Erciyes Flooded with Visitors Over the Weekend

Kayseri Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Dr. Memduh Büyükkılıç announced that Erciyes Ski Resort, one of the few ski resorts in the world and Turkey, hosted more than 32 thousand visitors over the weekend.

Erciyes Ski Resort, which opened its season at the earliest in the last 20 years, has world-class facilities and is the first ski resort in Turkey to be a member of the International Mountain Rescue Commission (ICAR), hosted tens of thousands of visitors in two days.

Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Dr. Memduh Büyükkılıç, in his statement on the subject, stated that Erciyes Ski Resort, which opened the 2024-2025 ski season on Saturday, has attracted great attention in the first two days.

Reminding that they opened the earliest season in Erciyes in the last 20 years, President Büyükkılıç said the following:

“With 112 ski slopes of 41 kilometers and 19 mechanical facilities, Erciyes Ski Resort, one of the most important ski resorts in Turkey, has become the center of attention for local and foreign tourists. The new season offers an exciting holiday opportunity for all ski lovers. Erciyes is becoming a more attractive destination than ever for skiers and nature lovers.”

Büyükkılıç reminded that they broke the all-time visitor record by hosting 2 million 500 thousand guests last season and noted that Erciyes will be a center of attraction this year as well. Büyükkılıç said, “Our Erciyes hosted over 32 thousand visitors on the weekend as soon as the season opened. We are waiting for you at Erciyes Ski Center for perfect tracks, modern facilities and a unique ski experience.”

“We Continue to Produce Snow Until Morning”

On the other hand, Büyükkılıç stated that the teams' activities did not stop after the guests left the slopes in Erciyes, and that they produced 154 cubic meters of snow per hour with 3 artificial snow machines, and said, "As soon as our guests leave the slopes, we do not stop, we continue to produce snow until the morning. We work every day for your skiing pleasure."
