Sakarya Metropolitan Municipality is organizing an “Electronic Waste and Waste Battery Collection Competition” with the slogan “Separate Your Waste, Brighten Your Tomorrow” in order to spread environmental awareness among children and create awareness of a clean environment.
In the competition to be held between primary and secondary schools, different prizes will be given to the schools that collect the most waste.
It is mandatory to inform the Provincial Directorate of National Education.
As part of the movement launched to leave a more livable environment for future generations, primary and secondary schools can participate in this competition by applying to the Provincial Directorate of National Education.

As part of the competition, electronic and battery waste will be collected from schools until Wednesday, January 29th.
Among these wastes, which will be taken by the Metropolitan Municipality teams and evaluated by the competition jury, the schools that meet the criteria and provide the highest volume will win awards. The awards will be presented at an awards ceremony.

In the statement made by the Metropolitan Municipality, it was stated that “With the aim of a more livable and much more beautiful Sakarya, we are organizing the “Electronic Waste and Waste Battery Collection Competition” among primary and secondary schools. With this competition, we will instill environmental awareness in our students at a young age and create awareness. As a result of our competition, our schools will have won different gifts. We invite all primary and secondary schools to our competition, which we hold with the aim of an environmentally sensitive generation.”
