Demirağ Organized Industrial Zone (OSB), whose infrastructure works were launched in Sivas in 2020 upon the instructions of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, continues to grow every day. This region, which has Turkey's first and only railway line, provides great advantages to investors with parcel switches connected to the main line and becomes a center of attraction by benefiting from the 6th region incentives.
Focus of Investors
Demirağ OSB consists of a total of 814 parcels in an area of 225 hectares. So far, 181 parcels have been allocated to companies and while 10 companies are actively producing in the region, construction work for 27 companies is continuing rapidly. Sivas Chamber of Commerce and Industry (TSO) President Zeki Özdemir stated that they are closely following the developments and production processes in the region and that work is continuing rapidly so that the companies in the region can start production as soon as possible.
Attraction Center Program and Future Prospects
Zeki Özdemir, drawing attention to the fact that the Attraction Center Program should cover not only Demirağ OSB but all organized industrial zones, stated that Sivas will take great steps towards becoming an industrial city. Özdemir, emphasizing that the 6th region incentives should be continued, stated that this program will also benefit other OSBs in Sivas. He expressed his belief that as of 2025, new factories will be opened frequently.
“Demirağ OSB is Red Apple for us”
Özdemir defined Demirağ OSB as “Kızılelma” and emphasized that this region is very important for all of Sivas and that everyone should work together to continue the development of this valuable region. Özdemir stated that they listen to the deficiencies and needs of the companies from time to time and try to produce solutions in this regard.
Future Goals and Acknowledgements
Özdemir expressed that the rapid construction processes in Demirağ OSB increased the efforts and motivation of investors towards the industry and thanked all the company members who will start production in the region and the OSB family. He said, “These works make us very happy. I would like to thank everyone involved in these works,” and expressed that their contributions to the industry in Sivas will continue.
Demirağ OSB aims to strengthen the industrial infrastructure of Sivas with the advantages and incentive support it provides, while increasing the economic development and employment of the region. In this process, including all OSBs within the scope of support will enable Sivas to come to an important place among industrial cities.
