Materials Required for Opening
- 1 cup of warm milk
- 1 glass of warm water
- 1 pack of dry yeast (10 g)
- 2 tablespoon of sugar
- 1 sweet spice salt
- 1/2 cup oil
- 2 eggs (separate the yolk of one for brushing on top)
- 5-6 cups of flour (add in controlled amounts until you get the right consistency)
Extra Ingredients for Filling
- 150-200 g white cheese or cheddar cheese (optional)
- Parsley or dill (optional)
Preparation of Rolling Dough
First, pour warm milk and water into a large bowl. Add dry yeast and sugar. Mix the mixture well and wait for 5-10 minutes. During this time, you will ensure that the yeast is activated.
Add oil, eggs and salt to the activated yeast mixture. After mixing all the ingredients well, gradually add the flour. Knead until you have a soft but non-sticky dough. The consistency of your dough is very important; therefore, be careful to add the flour in a controlled manner.
After kneading your dough for about 5-10 minutes, cover it with stretch film or a clean cloth. Leave your dough to ferment in a warm environment for about 1-2 hours. This process is critical for your buns to be soft and fluffy.
Shaping the Dough
After the dough has risen, knead it lightly and remove the air. Then, break off walnut-sized pieces from the dough. Roll out the pieces thinly and long on the surface where you will make the dough. You can add white cheese or kashar cheese to the middle of the dough to place the filling. If you want, you can add fresh greens such as parsley or dill to enhance the flavor.
Bring the ends of the dough together to form a bagel shape and place on a baking tray lined with baking paper. Grease the tops of your rolls well with the egg yolk you have set aside. This will help your rolls to turn golden while cooking.
Freezing and Cooking Trenches
If you want to freeze your buns for future use, take them out of the tray, place them on a separate tray and put them in the freezer. Once frozen, you can store the buns for a long time by placing them in freezer bags or airtight containers.
When you want to use frozen buns, bake them in a preheated oven at 180°C for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown. At this stage, remember to check the temperature of the oven to ensure that the top of your buns is golden brown.

Your soft buns are now ready! You can consume them as breakfast or as a snack as you wish. They will be a great match with tea or coffee and you will be able to impress your guests. Thus, you should definitely try this practical recipe that will add flavor to your mornings.
