Embroidery Exhibition Inspired by Zeugma Museum
The works created by thirty-three trainees, inspired by their trip to the Zeugma Museum, led by Bostancı Public Education Center Director Hülya Narsap and embroidery teachers Zekiye Ensari, were met with great interest. The exhibition, which consists of works reflecting the mosaics they observed on this trip into the art of embroidery, aims to present a priceless collection of sixty pieces in total to the visitors. The exhibition will open its doors for two months to attract the attention of both local and foreign visitors.
In her speech at the opening of the exhibition, Hülya Narsap said the following: “Our center, which has been contributing to adult education since 1975, aims to reach wider audiences with its activities and increase the historical and cultural awareness of our trainees. We take care to organize various events in order to ensure that they develop the skills they have gained through new approaches and different designs. We plan to take initiatives to open this project exhibition, which is the product of a year of meticulous work, in different cities, especially Gaziantep.” Narsap also thanked everyone who contributed to the realization of the exhibition.
The exhibition opening was attended by many important guests, including Istanbul Provincial Director of National Education and Gaziantep Zeugma Museum's founding director Emine Öztürk.
