LTG Cargo Ukraine Takes a New Step in International Grain Transportation

LTG Cargo Ukraine successfully organized the transportation of the first 20 grain bunkers to Lithuania. These bunkers, sent from the largest wagon manufacturing facility in Ukraine, have a capacity of 116 m³, designed to carry various types of grain, with the aim of ensuring efficient loading, maximum load utilization and reducing costs. The company continues to develop its operations, taking advantage of international grain transportation.

The transportation of grain bunkers is also supported by the opening of the first information centre in Kaunas as part of the Rail Baltica project. The transition from 1520 mm gauge to 1435 mm gauge in Europe took place at Sędziszów station in Poland. The grain bunkers will then reach Šeštokai station in Lithuania, where they will be used to efficiently transport grain across borders.

The increasing demand for rail grain transportation across Europe has also increased the demand for grain cargo grain silos. Leasing grain silos for international transport contributes to maintaining stable agricultural exports in countries like Lithuania. LTG Cargo continues to expand its cooperation with Lithuanian partners and expects more than half of the total bunkers to arrive in Lithuania by the end of the year. This once again highlights the importance of rail freight in supporting international grain shipments.
