A Tragic Accident in Rize: Gizem Kazdal Lost Her Life
The incident took place yesterday at the Rize Anatolian Imam Hatip Secondary School on Atatürk Street in the Müftü Neighborhood of Rize. Gizem Kazdal, an 8th grade student, was seriously injured when she fell from the gap in the fire escape in her classroom on the 4th floor of the school.
Seeing Gizem fall, her friends immediately reported the situation to their teachers and requested help. After the report, the medical teams quickly arrived at the scene and treated Gizem. The injured student was later taken to Recep Tayyip Erdoğan University Education and Research Hospital. However, despite all interventions, Gizem Kazdal could not be saved and lost her life.

A funeral ceremony was held in Güneysu district for Gizem Kazdal, who lost her life. Gizem's uncle, Supreme Court Member Şaban Kazdal, Rize Governor İhsan Selim Baydaş, Rize Deputy Muhammet Avcı, various institution managers and many citizens attended the ceremony. Those who attended the funeral conveyed their condolences to the family of the young student who lost her life in mysterious circumstances.
Gizem Kazdal's funeral was held at noon at the Güneysu Central Mosque, followed by burial at the family cemetery in the village of Kıbledağı. The ceremony commemorated Gizem, who lost her life at a young age, once again, accompanied by the tears and prayers of her loved ones.
