On the 100th anniversary of the declaration of the Republic and Ankara becoming the capital, "100. Delegations coming to the Capital from different parts of the world for the "Ankara Forum of XNUMX" had the opportunity to closely examine BAKAP Agriculture Campus and Recreation Area, which is among the most important projects of Ankara Metropolitan Municipality. The delegation then closely examined the two-thousand-year-old Roman Theatre, where the Department of Cultural and Natural Heritage continues its restoration and excavation work, and the Ankara Castle, one of the symbols of the city's history.

Ankara Metropolitan Municipality hosted mayors, deputies and representatives of international local government organizations from sister cities around the world on the 100th anniversary of the proclamation of the Republic and Ankara becoming the capital.

Held as part of the "100th" celebrations. Foreign delegations participating in the "Ankara Forum" had the opportunity to get to know the capital Ankara closely on the last day of the events.

BAKAP (Capital Ankara Development Project) Agriculture Campus and Recreation Area, which is among the most important vision projects of Ankara Metropolitan Municipality, was introduced to foreign guests.

During the promotional tour hosted by Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Mansur Yavaş, Rural Services Department Head Ahmet Mekin Tüzün made a presentation. BAKAP, built on an area of ​​3,5 million square meters, was toured step by step with a guide after the presentation. Foreign delegations were amazed by BAKAP, which hosts the best examples of sustainable organic agriculture, and had the opportunity to examine the model project closely.

100TH ANNIVERSARY FRIENDSHIP GARDEN WAS ESTABLISHED

“29th Anniversary” was held between 31-100 October. "Centenary Friendship Garden" was established in a section of BAKAP in memory of the "Ankara Forum of the XNUMXth Anniversary".

The trees named after the cities participating in the forum were planted by foreign delegations. Yavaş went around each delegation's tree one by one and threw soil into it.

HISTORICAL PLACES OF ANKARA WERE ALSO EXAMINED

After their visit to BAKAP, where they spent time in touch with nature, the foreign delegation closely examined the two-thousand-year-old Roman Theater, where the Department of Cultural and Natural Heritage continues its restoration and excavation work, and the Ankara Castle, one of the symbols of the city's history.
