Minister of National Education Yusuf Tekin announced that the first midterm break of the 2023-2024 academic year has ended. During the mid-term break in November, students had the opportunity to rest for a week and participate in social events.
Minister Tekin said in his statement, “Our students spent the mid-term break resting and participating in social events. During this break, it was observed that students and parents did not prefer their holiday destinations and spent their holiday in the city they were in. This pleased us. Because our students spend their holidays in the city they live in, allowing them to spend more time with their families.” said.
Minister Tekin also reminded that the semester break, which will be held between January 22, 2024 and February 2, 2024, will last 15 days and said, "I recommend our students to rest and participate in social activities during the semester break." he said.
What happened during the break?
During the break, students had more free time due to schools being closed. They used this time to relax, participate in social events, and spend time with their families.
Students mostly preferred activities such as reading books, going to the movies, doing sports and spending time with their families during the break.

The first semester of the 2023-2024 academic year will end on January 19, 2024. The second term will start on February 5, 2024.
