Near East University DESAM Research Institute Founding Member and Scientific Research Projects Coordinator Prof. Dr. H. Seda Vatansever's infertility treatment; His study, which aims to use stem cells obtained from the cells that form the embryonic connective tissue, received support from the Turkish Health Institutes Presidency (TÜSEB)!
Turkish Health Institutes Directorate (TÜSEB), which was established with the support of the Presidency of the Republic of Turkey and the Ministry of Health to support planned and sustainable development by developing science and technologies in the field of health; Near East University DESAM Founding Member and Scientific Research Projects Coordinator Prof. Dr. He supported H. Seda Vatansever's project titled "Investigation of the Presence of LINE-1, Orf1 and FTO in Mesenchymal Stem Cell Derived Exosomes Supporting In Vitro Oocyte Maturation", which will play an important role in the treatment of infertility.
The problem, known medically as "Infertility" and among the society as "sterility", is a big problem for many couples who want to have children. This health problem, which is related to the reproductive system, may be due to a single cause; It can also occur with the combination of several factors. Among the causes of infertility in women, problems related to the quality of the "oocyte" (female egg cell) come to the fore.
Stem cell therapy will be a hope in improving the quality of female egg cells!
Near East University DESAM Founding Member and Scientific Research Projects Coordinator Prof. Dr. H. Seda Vatansever's project "Investigation of the Presence of LINE-1, Orf1 and FTO in Mesenchymal Stem Cell Derived Exosomes Supporting In Vitro Oocyte Maturation" also focuses on the effects of small particles (exosomes) obtained from adult stem cells in the connective tissues of human cells in oocyte quality and maturation. examines the changes it creates on oocyte maturation.
Prof. Dr. Tamer Şanlıdağ: The project funds and acceptances we receive both from Turkey and abroad reveal the quality of the projects we carry out.”
Emphasizing the importance of quality in scientific research, Near East University Rector Prof. Dr. Tamer Şanlıdağ said, “Our scientists, who continue their studies at Near East University, continue to produce scientific publications and develop projects with great efficiency. "The project funds and acceptances received both from Turkey and abroad also reveal the quality of the projects we carry out," he said.
"As a university, we see supporting the research of our academics as one of our most important priorities," said Prof. Dr. Şanlıdağ emphasized, "On the other hand, the support provided by valuable institutions such as TÜSEB makes a great contribution to increasing scientific productivity and efficiency." Prof. Dr. Şanlıdağ added that they will make a statement about new projects that receive support soon.
Prof. Dr. Seda Vatansever: “The results of the project we carried out will open a new horizon in infertility treatment.”
Near East University DESAM Founding Member and Scientific Research Projects Coordinator Prof. said that he is investigating what role the use of products derived from stem cells will play in improving the quality of egg cells in women with the research project supported by the Turkish Health Institutes Presidency (TÜSEB). Dr. H. Seda Vatansever said, "Our study will provide preliminary data for clinical studies by examining oocyte maturation."
"In particular, triggering the maturation of immature oocytes outside the ovary is extremely important for infertility treatment," said Prof. Dr. Vatansever said, "The results of the project we carried out will open a new horizon in infertility treatment by enabling the creation of new oocyte production environments."
