While Eskişehir Metropolitan Municipality continues its environmentalist activities, it has launched a new application. In order to combat the water scarcity problem caused by global warming and climate change, "Dry Landscape" application was started in medians and intersections in Eskişehir.
The "Dry Landscape" work, which adopts a sustainable urban design approach and ensures effective water use by the Parks and Gardens Department teams, has started to be implemented in medians and intersections on boulevards and streets, which are under the responsibility of the Metropolitan Municipality.
Providing information about the work carried out, Parks and Gardens Department officials said, "The landscaping arrangements, which were first implemented on the 1500th Boulevard and Kenter Boulevards on the newly reorganized Söğüt-Uludere road, continue in various medians and intersections of our city. A small amount of plant material irrigated by drip irrigation method is used as slag, dolomite stone, etc. "Thanks to dry landscape designs containing motifs used together with decorative materials, effective use of natural resources is ensured and at the same time, an aesthetic appearance is given to the city." they said.
