Kadıköy Municipality will organize a Beach Handball Festival at the Sports Complex on Saturday, October 7, with the participation of Turkey's leading beach handball teams and athletes.
Beach handball, which will take part as a demonstration sport in the 2024 Paris Olympics and as an Olympic sport in the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics, is a candidate to become one of the popular sports branches for young people in Turkey. Kadıköy The municipality also rolled up its sleeves to introduce beach handball, which has become popular in the world in recent years, to young people and to support athletes. Kadıköy Municipality, together with the Turkish Handball Federation and Defne Sports Club, will organize a Beach Handball Festival on Saturday, October 7, between 10.00-16.00 at Kalamış Sports Complex.
The event, which will be attended by professional coaches, will start with training and training on beach handball. In the second part of the event, friendly matches will be played between 16-year-old girls' teams. This event will also be the first tournament for athletes in the 2024 age group who will represent Turkey in the European Championship in 16.
