Drawing attention to the importance of public transportation, Mayor Aktaş said, “Public buses are especially important in transportation. Some people in Turkey say, 'We do not carry people over the age of 65.' Some municipalities say 'We cannot support'. We do not see this as a source of profit. We see it as a requirement of being a social state and social municipality. We consider private public buses as a stakeholder by subsidizing them. "We are trying to solve this problem together," he said.

“Families provide public transportation cards for their children”

Stating that Bursa provides the cheapest transportation among the top 5 metropolitan cities, Mayor Aktaş said, “Families now prefer 200 TL monthly public transportation cards for their children. Because service fees seem high to families now. This year, the number of public transportation users has increased abnormally, especially student mobility. In order to eliminate this, we are putting 15 new buses into service, which we will put on the troublesome lines, by saying Bismillah, starting from Monday morning. Our new vehicles will be a breath of fresh air for Bursa public transportation. Please know that we will make additions and touches if necessary. People use our vehicles to get to work and school in the mornings, and to their spouses and homes in the evenings. We are trying to do this in the most perfect and trouble-free way through BURULAŞ with our 2950 personnel. "Congratulations to our new vehicles," he said.
