According to the statement made by the China National Energy Administration, the newly established renewable energy capacity in the first three quarters of the year increased by 93 percent compared to the same period last year, reaching 172 million kilowatts, and its share in the total newly established energy capacity increased to 76 percent.
It was learned that as of the end of September, the renewable energy capacity in the country increased by 20 percent compared to the previous year, reaching 1 billion 384 million kilowatts, and constituted 49,6 percent of the total energy capacity, leaving the installed thermal power plant capacity behind.
However, in the first three quarters of the year, electrical energy converted from renewable sources reached 2,07 trillion kilowatt hours, and its share in all electrical energy produced increased to 31,3 percent.
