China's Middle East Special Envoy Zhai Jun attended the Cairo Peace Summit held on the Palestine issue. In his speech at the summit, Zhai Jun stated that China, which closely follows the latest developments between Israel and Palestine, is very concerned that the intensification of the conflict will lead to great loss of life and a humanitarian crisis.

Pointing out that they condemn any initiative that harms civilians and oppose any action contrary to international law, Zhai called for the immediate halt of military operations that may cause further escalation and the opening of a humanitarian aid corridor.

Pointing out that the international community should take concrete measures in an objective and fair manner, the Chinese representative said that they expect the UN to organize a more effective and more comprehensive international meeting as soon as possible and to accelerate a comprehensive, fair and permanent solution to the Palestine problem at the earliest date. .

Zhai underlined that the only way out of the current vicious circle is the establishment of an independent Palestinian state on the basis of a two-state solution. Zhai said, "China will continue to strive, together with the international community, to achieve a ceasefire in Gaza, regain the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people, and achieve lasting peace and security in the Middle East."

The summit was attended by leaders, ministers or high-level representatives from 31 countries, including Egypt, Palestine, United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Bahrain, South Africa, England, France, Germany, Japan, Russia and Turkey, as well as the UN, Arab League, Africa Officials from international and regional organizations such as the European Union and the European Union attended. Turkey was represented at the summit by Minister of Foreign Affairs Hakan Fidan.
