Beyoğlu Culture Road Festival, which was held for the fourth time this year, started with the opening of the PhotoMarathon event at Atatürk Cultural Center.

Speaking at the opening, Minister of Culture and Tourism Mehmet Nuri Ersoy said that this year they are preparing a 100-day marathon for the 100th anniversary of the Republic with the Turkey Culture Road Festivals.

Stating that his favorite event in the Culture Road Festivals is the PhotoMarathon, Ersoy said, dedicated to photography lovers: “Because you capture all the differences throughout the event and reflect them in your frame. Then you spread them all over Turkey via social media. “This makes us very happy.” said.

Minister Ersoy pointed out that the Culture Road Festivals were held in 5 cities last year and in 11 cities this year, and said, “We will hold the Culture Road Festivals in at least 15 cities next year. "By adding at least 5 cities every year, hopefully our goal is to expand the festivals to 2028 cities in 35." he said.

After watching the performance of the marching band at the Atatürk Cultural Center, Minister Ersoy walked from Taksim Square to Istiklal Street and first visited the "Star Wars Fan Exhibition" prepared at the Istanbul Cinema Museum, then the "From Sketches to Pixels" at the Grand Pera Cercle D'Orient. He visited the "Digital Art Exhibition" and the "Istanbul as Far as the Eye Can See: Landscapes from Five Centuries" exhibition held at Meşher Art Gallery and received information from the artists.

Minister Ersoy also visited the "Existing Together in a Hundred", "Andy Warhol Pop Art Istanbul" and "Balkan Naci İslimyeli" exhibitions held at AKM within the scope of the festival.
