A press conference was held before the 14th Sea To Sky Enduro Motorcycle Races. Kemer Mayor Necati Topaloğlu said that the organization made a great contribution to Kemer in terms of promotion.

Kemer Mayor Necati Topaloğlu, Kemer Enduro Motorcycle Club (KEMK) President Semih Özdemir, Kemer Touristic Hoteliers and Operators Association (KETOB) President Dinçer Sarıkaya, Olympos Teleferik General Manager Haydar Gümrükçü, Kemer Tourism and Businessmen attended the press conference held at Qualista Beach. Association (KEMİAD) Board Member Cansın Efir, Kemer Region Promotion Foundation (KETAV) Board Member İsmail Kıyar, athletes and press members attended.

More than 42 athletes from 400 countries are expected to participate in the Sea To Sky Enduro Motorcycle Races, one of the world's most well-known extreme sports organizations.

The organization, which will be held for the 14th time this year with the great support of Kemer Municipality, stands out as one of the most important events of sports tourism in Turkey, which offers the concept of sports and holiday together.

Kemer Mayor Necati Topaloğlu, in his speech at the press conference, said that it is very difficult to organize international organizations and that he congratulated KEMK President Semih Özdemir and his team for achieving this.

Pointing out that the Sea To Sky Enduro Motorcycle Races have made a great contribution to the promotion of Kemer for 13 years, Mayor Topaloğlu said, “When the 400 athletes participating in the races return to their countries, they will tell about the beauties of Kemer and Turkey. The organization makes a great contribution to Kemer in terms of promotion. I would like to thank everyone who contributed to the organization. “I wish the athletes success.”

KEMK President Semih Özdemir gave technical information about the races. Stating that the races are more comprehensive this year, Özdemir said, “There are athletes who will participate in the race for the first time this year. We are getting good feedback. Our races will last 4 days and will start tomorrow with the beach stage from Çamyuva Mahallesi beach. There is a forest stage on Thursday, which starts from Göynük District and will end in Kemer centre. Our forest stage is 40 kilometers. On Friday, we have a 40-kilometer sky stage. On Saturday, there is a 60-kilometer mountain stage. "The mountain stage will start from the Çamyuva coast and end at the top of Tahtalı Mountain, at an altitude of 2365 meters." said.

Özdemir stated that they made some changes in the stages this year depending on the difficulty level and said, “Last year, the athletes had a hard time in our stages. This year, we made the first parts of the stages easy and the last parts more difficult. I would like to thank all our sponsors who support us. “I would like to thank Kemer Municipality and our Mayor Necati Topaloğlu, who are our biggest supporters in terms of logistics, field personnel and workforce.” he said.

KETOB President Dinçer Sarıkaya stated that the organization made a great contribution to Kemer tourism and noted that they gave full support to the organization as tourism professionals.

Olympos Teleferik General Manager Haydar Gümrükçü also stated that they expected everyone to the top of Tahtalı Mountain on the last day of the races.
