The Confederation of Turkish Trade Unions (TÜRK-İŞ) announced that the hunger line increased to 13 thousand 334 TL and the poverty line increased to 43 thousand 433 TL in September.
TÜRK-İŞ shared the hunger and poverty line figures for September. TÜRK-İŞ announced that the monthly food expenditure required for a healthy, balanced and adequate diet for a family of four living in Ankara has increased to 4 thousand 13 liras and 334 kuruş.
According to the results of TÜRK-İŞ Research for September 2023; The total amount of food expenditures and other mandatory monthly expenses for clothing, housing, transportation, education, health and similar needs increased to 43 thousand 433 liras and 65 kurus, and the cost of living for a single employee increased to 17 thousand 336 liras and 25 kurus per month.
According to TÜRK-İŞ's data, the change in kitchen inflation in September 2023 is as follows:
“The increase in the minimum expenditure amount that a family of four living in Ankara should make for 'food' was 4 percent compared to the previous month. The 9,31-month change rate was determined as 8 percent. "As of the last 64,00 months, the rate of change was 12 percent. According to the 84,04-month average, the rate of change was calculated as 12 percent."
