Minister of Industry and Technology Mehmet Fatih Kacır stated that Turkey will host more than 5 world-famous astronauts for 70 days and said that the event is important in terms of reaping the fruits of Turkey's National Space Program.
Stating that space enthusiasts will come together at the summit to be held at Gökmen Space Aviation Training Center (GUHEM), Minister Kacır said, “Selecting Turkey for the event, in which world-famous astronauts and cosmonauts will also participate, is important in terms of reaping the fruits of the National Space Program. We welcome all space enthusiasts. Our young people need to follow their dreams and know that the space travelers of the future will be among them. NATIONAL SPACE PROGRAM
Noting that Turkey has put forward its future vision for space in line with the National Space Program, Minister Kacır said, “As we build the Turkey Century, we want to take our competencies in the field of space even further. "Within the framework of the program, we will coordinate satellite development and marketing activities in Turkey and carry out R&D and product development studies in new technological areas such as nano and micro satellites and mega constellations." he said.
GIANT INTERNATIONAL MEETING IN GUHEM
GUHEM, Turkey's first space aviation-themed interactive training center, continues to host giant international events. More than 70 astronauts who will come to Bursa with the organization of GUHEM and Bursa Business School will take part in important events for 5 days.
IN BURSA ON 25-29 SEPTEMBER
GUHEM, which was implemented in cooperation with Bursa Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BTSO) and the Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey (TÜBİTAK) with the support of Bursa Metropolitan Municipality, will host the Planetary Congress organized by the Association of Space Explorers (ASE). is being prepared. At the congress to be held in Bursa between 25-29 September, astronauts and cosmonauts who have made a name for themselves with their work in space will work to increase space awareness.
OVER 19 ASTRONAUTS FROM 70 COUNTRIES
At the congress, from American Victor Grover, the pilot of the vehicle that will go to lunar orbit with the Artemis II mission, to Chinese Junlong Fei, who spent a total of 191 days in space in two missions, from Russian Cosmonaut Sergei Andeev, who spent 747 days in space, to Astronaut Julie Payette, former Governor General of Canada. More than 19 astronauts and pioneers in space studies from 70 countries will attend.
The technical sessions of the event, which will bring together the world's most prestigious names in space, will be held at Bursa Business School Uludağ Campus, the training and development center of the business world implemented by BTSO.
