The third Chinese airline member of İGA Istanbul Airport's "China Friendly Airport Project" was China Eastern Airlines. Aiming to have 100 airlines on the 100th anniversary of the Republic, İGA Istanbul Airport started to host its 95th airline with the participation of China Eastern Airlines.
China Eastern Airlines became the 95th member of İGA Istanbul Airport, Turkey's gateway to the world. The Airbus A01.30-232 type aircraft with a capacity of 330 passengers, which took off from Shanghai Pudong International Airport at 200 Shanghai time, landed at İGA Istanbul Airport at 08.30 Istanbul time today.
İGA Istanbul Airport started to host three different Chinese airlines with the start of flights by China Eastern Airlines, which is a very important step for the "China Friendly Airport" project.
Joining Sichuan Airlines, which flies to Chengdu three times a week, and China Southern Airlines, which also flies to the capital Beijing three times a week, China Eastern Airlines will connect Istanbul and Shanghai on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. China Eastern Airlines, the 95th airline hosted by İGA Istanbul Airport, aims to increase the number of flights in the coming period.
