Mercedes-Benz Türk commissioned the Solar Energy Power Plant with an installed power of 1.3 MWp at Aksaray Truck Factory. While it is aimed to prevent approximately 900 tons of carbon emissions annually with the power plant, the energy obtained will provide benefits to the environment equivalent to planting 22 thousand 120 trees.
8 percent of the factory's electricity needs come from the Solar Power Plant
Mercedes-Benz Türk Aksaray Factory Director Ulf Raese emphasized that Mercedes-Benz Türk aims to achieve zero CO2039 emissions during production by 2 within the scope of the 'Green Targets' program; “Our factory, which is one of the most important truck production bases of Daimler Truck AG and produces at world standards, prioritizes the protection of nature in its production activities and works. We aim to produce 1 million 900 thousand kWh of electrical energy annually with the Solar Power Plant to be opened in Aksaray. 8 percent of our factory's electricity needs will be met from this power plant. We will continue to work as Mercedes-Benz Türk for a sustainable future.” said.
Benefit equivalent to planting 22 thousand 120 trees
Underlining that they will continue their Solar Power Plant work at Mercedes-Benz Türk Aksaray Truck Factory, Ulf Raese continued his words as follows:
“While electricity is produced through the Solar Power Plant in the factory, approximately 900 tons of carbon emissions per year will be prevented. With the energy obtained, we will benefit the environment equivalent to the 656-year electricity consumption of 1 households and the planting of 22 thousand 120 trees. We will continue our work in line with the goal of using solar energy in Mercedes-Benz Türk's facilities and will do our part for the transformation to green energy.“
