Ankara Metropolitan Municipality started the harvest of silage corn planted on 130 decares of land in BAKAP Agriculture Campus and Recreation Area.

While the last harvest of the year is being carried out in BAKAP, the quality forage obtained will be distributed free of charge to small family businesses engaged in animal breeding throughout the Capital.

Ankara Metropolitan Municipality continues its efforts to support rural development and contribute to domestic production.

Harvesting and silage packaging of silage corn cultivated on a 130-decare land in BAKAP, Turkey's largest agricultural campus and recreation area, has started. The quality forage obtained will be distributed free of charge to small family businesses engaged in animal breeding in the capital.

Purpose: To support animal breeders

With the support of 'corn silage', Ankara Metropolitan Municipality aims to encourage animal breeders in the capital to enter entrepreneurship and to support them economically while ensuring that they do not abandon production.

Stating that the last harvest of 2023 was carried out in BAKAP Agriculture Campus and Recreation Area, Ankara Metropolitan Municipality Rural Services Department Agricultural Engineer Volkan Dinçer said, “We first shape and package our silage corn. "After a certain maturity, we will distribute it free of charge to breeders engaged in animal production in Ankara," he said.
