Ankara Metropolitan Municipality took action to solve the traffic problem experienced at the entrances and exits of Pursaklar district via Esenboğa Airport Road (Özal Boulevard). An alternative entrance-exit boulevard will be built to the 'U-Turn Underpass' used for entrances and exits to Pursaklar district, and a new underpass will be built at the intersection of this boulevard with Airport Road. The tender for the project will be held on October 18, 2023.

Ankara Metropolitan Municipality continues to undertake major projects in transportation infrastructure in order to provide safe and comfortable transportation in the Capital.

Metropolitan Municipality; He prepared a project to solve the traffic problem caused by the insufficient capacity of the 'U-Turn Underpass', which is used for entering and exiting the Pursaklar district via Esenboğa Airport Road (Özal Boulevard). It is planned to build an alternative entrance-exit boulevard at the point where traffic problems occur, and a new underpass at the point where this new boulevard intersects with Airport Road.

The Department of Technical Affairs will put out a tender for the new boulevard and overpass project on October 18, 2023.

IT WILL HAVE 6 LANES AND 700 METERS IN TOTAL

The underpass, which will be built within the scope of the project that will give breathing space to Pursaklar traffic, will be built at the intersection of Airport Road (Özal Boulevard) and 1566th Street.

Pursaklar Alternative Entrance Underpass, which will provide an alternative and new entry and exit opportunity to the district, will consist of a total of 3 lanes, 3 going and 6 coming, and will be approximately 700 meters long.

With the intersection planned on the underpass, a connection road will be built at the intersection of Emek Street and Elfidan Street on the Pursaklar district front, providing access to all directions from Airport Road for vehicles coming to and leaving the district.
