Kayseri Metropolitan Municipality Sports Inc. The third International Kayseri Half Marathon, organized by Kayseri and aiming to host more than just a marathon in Kayseri, will take place on Sunday. The International Kayseri Half Marathon, which will be held on Sunday, September 24, 2023, with the theme of Mimar Sinan and the slogan 'More than a Marathon', will be run in three categories: 21K, 10K and public running.
25 FOREIGN ATHLETES AND 250 ELITE ATHLETES FROM 40 COUNTRIES
The half marathon, the first of which was held on September 12, 2021 with the theme of Kültepe, and the second on October 9, 2022, with the theme of Erciyes, will take place on Sunday, September 24, 2023, with the theme of Mimar Sinan, who blew his secret into the stones. Foreign runners and 25 elite athletes from 40 countries will participate in the international event.
There will be points of need approximately every 2,5 kilometers on the route. The 21 kilometer runner t-shirt will be white, the 10 kilometer runner t-shirt will be green, and the People's Run runner t-shirt will be orange. Architect Sinan themed bags will be given as gifts to 21 kilometer and 10 kilometer runners. In the races where the total prize will be 453 thousand TL, this year an additional monetary award was determined for the runners who broke the course record based on the runners' scores last year. A total of 204 people will benefit from the prize money at the Award Ceremony. 21 runners will participate in 10 categories: 3K / 7K / Public Run.
On Sunday, September 24, 2023, 21K/10K runs will start at 08.00 and the Public Run will start at 09.30. Kit Distribution Days will be held between 22-23 on 09.00-22.00 September.
At the designated kit distribution point, participants will be given a measurement chip with the same number as their chest number and bag. Participants who register for the Public Race will be able to receive their Race Kits between 22-23 on 09.00-22.00 September. All running lovers who want to take part in the Public Run but cannot register will be able to participate in the public run on Sunday, September 24, 2023 at 09.00.
On the day of the marathon, awards will be presented to the winning runners at the Awards Ceremony at 11.30.
A CHILDREN'S MARATHON WILL ALSO BE HELD
A Children's Marathon will be organized with children between the ages of 7-15 during the International Kayseri Half Marathon Kit Distribution Days. Children's Marathon registration will be taken between 22 September 10.00-14.00, 23 September 10.00-12.00. The Children's Marathon will be held on Saturday, September 23, 2023 at 14.00.

Sports Inc. An important announcement was made regarding vehicle drivers before the marathon. Due to the International Kayseri Half Marathon, which will be held on Sunday, September 24, vehicle traffic will be closed in both directions between Cumhuriyet Square and Gesi Junction along the Sivas Street route between 06.00 and 11.30.
Vehicle traffic will be gradually opened from Gesi junction towards Cumhuriyet Square as of 11.30. In the announcement, it is reminded to choose alternative routes on the specified date and not to park vehicles in front of the building or on the road for partial vehicle passage, while tram services will continue without interruption during the race.
With the International Kayseri Half Marathon, it is aimed to introduce the beauties of the city to the whole world by determining the cultural values of the city as the marathon theme every year, to bring together professional and amateur runners to do sports, and to enable the participants to discover the natural and cultural heritage.
