Following the Cabinet Meeting at the Presidential Complex, President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan said, "We will provide technological device support up to 9 thousand 500 liras in total to our university students for mobile phones and computers whose market sales price does not exceed 5 thousand 500 liras." said.
Stating that they are following up on all the promises they made to young people and that they made important decisions in this context at today's Cabinet Meeting, President Erdoğan said:
“We are implementing the mobile phone and computer support we promised to our university students in formal education. We will provide technological device support up to 9 thousand 500 lira in total to our university students for mobile phones and computers whose market sales price does not exceed 5 thousand 500 lira. With this support, we will provide support up to 44,4 percent of the market price for mobile phones and 16,7 percent of the market price for computers.
Again, we define a free monthly quota of 12 gigabytes for 10 months, limited to one line, for our university students in formal education. Our young people will be able to use these rights through one of the 3 mobile network operators they want. We will increase our university students' access to technology and information with both technological device support and free 10 gigabyte quota support. "The principles of implementation regarding both supports for these young people will be determined by our Ministries."
President Erdoğan stated that they will launch the Youth Card application for young people who turn 18 and said:
“We will give these young people a Youth Card, valid for 1 year. All our young people who have this card will be able to benefit from cultural and artistic events such as museums, theaters and cinemas for free or at a discount. Over time, we will further expand the opportunities offered to our young people within the scope of the Young Card application. I hope that all three of our good news will be beneficial to our young people. "Just as we have walked with young people so far, I hope we will not leave the companionship of young people from now on."
