Audi introduced the Q6 e-tron, its first model to rise above the New Premium Platform Electric (PPE). In the introduction of the prototype model, the lighting innovations in the Audi Q6 e-tron were also explained.
The countdown has begun for Audi. The development phase of the first model based on the new Premium Platform Electric (PPE) has arrived. The Audi Q6 e tron prototype model will also make a difference with the new lighting technologies used.
Standing out as the first model to rise on the newly developed Premium Platform Electric (PPE), the Audi Q6 e-tron symbolizes the beginning of the most important model initiative in Audi history. This technology platform, jointly developed by Audi and Porsche, was designed specifically for fully electric vehicles. It can be scaled to accommodate a wide range of models, including mid-size and luxury segments. In addition, the battery size and wheelbase of PPE vehicles can be scaled. This makes it possible to use it in both SUV and CUV models as well as models such as the Sportback or Avant, which are part of the core product range of the Audi range.
The Audi Q6 e-tron presentation will be a world first in terms of how Audi's DNA is expressed in this new model and lighting technology.
The new model, which is planned to be shown before the end of the year, will set the bar again in the sector in terms of performance, range and charging. It is also of particular importance as it is the first all-electric model to come off the production line in Ingolstadt. In addition, Audi's headquarters in Ingolstadt will be the first AUDI AG production facility to have its own battery assembly plant. The new Audi Q6 e tron therefore also represents the brand's global transformation into a premium electric mobility provider.
