Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Abdulkadir Uraloğlu said that by taking new steps for the digitalization of the transport sector, they are trying to make e-Government more attractive for citizens serving in the road transport sector, and to ensure that they can make transactions without going to institutions. Uraloğlu said, “Without searching for papers and documents in applications, all processes will be finalized via e-Government, reducing bureaucracy, and processing times will be shortened with e-Government applications. We aim to achieve a great increase in the number of transactions with the latest incentive given for transactions to be made over e-Government.

Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Abdulkadir Uraloğlu made important statements regarding the changes made in the Road Transport Regulation, which was published in the Official Gazette and entered into force. Uraloğlu noted that with the change in the regulation, the transporters operating in the road transport sector have made arrangements so that more discounts can be applied by increasing the discount limits of up to 5% in the transactions they make over the e-Government. Uraloğlu said, “With this arrangement; 32,854% discount will be applied for transactions up to 5 TL to be made by transporters via e-Government.

UP TO 1% DISCOUNT ON K75 AUTHORITY CERTIFICATE

Uraloğlu said that another innovation made is that our citizens with K1 certificate, operating in the domestic goods transportation sector, give discounts to those who buy the vehicle if they quit their activities or sell their vehicles. Uraloğlu said, “For our K1-certified trucking shopkeepers, if they quit their activities or have retirement, for those whom they sell their vehicles and give their consent; Considering the remaining certificate period, a discount of up to 1% will be provided on the K75 authorization certificate. With this arrangement, our trucking tradesmen will be able to sell their vehicles more easily and will have the opportunity to earn an income from the K1 certificates, which they will cancel as soon as they stop their activities.” said. Another regulation in the regulation was about inspection and insurance. Minister Uraloğlu noted that within the framework of the Road Transport Regulation, vehicles that have received an authorization certificate and whose inspection and insurance have expired are provided with the opportunity to be added to the authorization certificates automatically and free of charge, if their deficiencies are corrected within 6 months.

SANCTION OF WARNING AGENCIES

Uraloğlu stated that with the change in the regulation, agencies that provide intermediary services for scheduled (ticketed) or non-scheduled (tourism) passenger transportation and are authorized to issue tickets or contracts are subject to a warning sanction in case of issuing tickets or contracts contrary to the legislation. Uraloğlu said, "With this regulation, we aim to eliminate the grievances of citizens in this direction."

PASSENGERS LANDING BEFORE THE DESTINATION WILL BE NOTIFIED TO U-ETDS

In passenger transportation activities, a regulation was made regarding the notification of the passengers getting off the bus before the destination by the transport companies to the U-ETDS system. According to this regulation, passengers who get off the bus before the destination will be instantly notified to U-ETDS. This innovation, which came for security in the transport area, will enable instant tracking of passengers in electronic environment.
