The Ministry of Commerce reported that 73 wedding dresses, which were determined to be smuggled, were seized in the operation carried out on a minibus with foreign nationals who came to the Kapıkule Customs Gate to enter Turkey.

The minibus with foreign nationals who came to the Kapıkule Border Gate to enter Turkey was deemed suspicious and sent for x-ray scanning. Realizing that the individuals were trying to unload a large number of black bags from the vehicle in a way that would raise suspicion before the scan, the teams immediately took action.
A detailed search was initiated by the Customs Enforcement teams, interfering with the suspects. During the inspection, many wedding dresses were found in black bags.
73 wedding dresses hidden in black bags were confiscated. It was understood that the market value of the wedding dresses was worth 2 million 240 thousand Turkish Liras.
The investigation continues at the Edirne Chief Public Prosecutor's Office regarding the incident.
