Mayor of Izmir Metropolitan Municipality Tunç Soyerparticipated in the ceremony of laying a wreath in the Gulf, which was held in memory of the martyrs of the sea, as part of the 1 July Maritime and Cabotage Day events.

The Chairman of the Gulf tour with the historical Bergama Ferry restored by the Izmir Metropolitan Municipality. Tunç Soyerİzmir Governor Yavuz Selim Köşger, Coast Guard Aegean Sea Region Commander Rear Admiral Serkan Tezel, İzmir Police Chief Mehmet Şahne, İZDENİZ Chairman of the Board Osman Hakan Erşen, İZDENİZ General Manager Ümit Yılmaz, Chamber of Shipping İzmir Branch Chairman Yusuf Öztürk and İzmir Port Manager Ünal Hakan Atalan, heads and representatives of various non-governmental organizations.

In memory of the martyrs of the sea, a wreath was thrown into the sea from the Bergama Ferry, which opened to the Gulf, near the Passport Pier. Passenger ferries belonging to İZDENİZ and boats of the coastal police and maritime police accompanied by sounding sirens. The program ended with İzmir Port Manager Ünal Hakan Atalan presenting a painting to Mayor Soyer.
