An additional raise came to 16 million retirees who were deprived of the same raise. In the Plan and Budget Commission, a proposal was made to increase the salary of pensioners to 25 percent. After the proposal was accepted, President Erdoğan made a statement.

After the civil servants, 16 million retirees received a welfare share increase. The normal inflation increases of 17.55 percent and 19.77 percent for civil servants, workers, tradesmen and farmer retirees will be increased to 25 percent with the additional welfare share.

For the additional raise, a proposal was submitted in the Parliamentary Plan and Budget Committee, where the bag bill is still being discussed. The proposal submitted by AKP deputies was accepted by the commission. According to the approved proposal, the 6-month hike in July for all civil servants, workers, tradesmen and farmer retirees, including EYT members, was increased to 25 percent. The lowest monthly amount applied as 7 thousand 500 liras was not benefited from the raise.

In addition to the normal increase of 17.55 percent, the civil servants were paid 8 thousand 77 liras of welfare share, and this amount was not reflected to any retirees.

In line with the consumer inflation announced by TÜİK, the government announced the increase of retired civil servants as 17.55 percent and the rate of increase of other workers, tradesmen and farmer retirees as 19.77 percent.

With the new proposal accepted, the raise rate of all retirees was equalized at 25 percent. With the new increase, the pension of the lowest civil servant pensioner, which was 7 thousand 901 liras, was increased to 25 thousand 9 liras with a 876 percent increase.

NO HIGH TO 7.500

According to the proposals, the 25 percent increase will not be applied to the lowest pension, which was previously increased from 5 thousand 500 lira to 7 thousand 500 lira. Retirement increases will be made only to root pensions. According to this, for example, a pension of 6 thousand liras and a pension of 7.500 liras with the support of the Treasury will be increased by 6 percent to a 25 thousand lira root pension.

This pensioner's root pension will increase to 7.500 liras. However, this pensioner will not be able to receive an additional raise since he already receives 7.500 lira per month. The Treasury will not have made any support payments to this pensioner. On the other hand, for example, the pension of the retiree, whose root pension is 6 thousand 500 liras and who receives 7 thousand 500 lira monthly with the support of the Treasury, will increase by 6 percent, so that the pension of 500 thousand 25 liras will increase to 8 thousand 125 liras.

All retirees who still receive a pension of 7 thousand 500 liras and whose root pension is below 6 thousand liras will remain without a raise and will continue to receive a pension of 7 thousand 500 liras.
