The commemorative coins of the mint and the commemorative stamps of the post office were added to the commemorative transportation card of the Bursa Metropolitan Municipality. The Metropolitan Municipality has launched Bursakart, which is used in urban transportation, in a limited number, with a special design for the 100th anniversary of the Republic.

Celebrating the 100th anniversary of the proclamation of the Republic with different events in Bursa, Bursa Metropolitan Municipality added a new one to its 100th Anniversary activities. Bursakart, which is used in public transportation vehicles in Bursa, met the people of Bursa with a special design for the 100th anniversary of the Republic. The cards with the inscription '100th Anniversary of the Republic' were designed in two different concepts. One of the cards prepared in red and white colors has the Turkish Flag on the front and the other on the back. Thanks to the cards printed in 100 thousand copies of each, the people of Bursa will not only keep the memory of the 100th anniversary of the Republic alive for many years, but will also be able to use these cards in public transportation vehicles.

In Bursa, where there are currently 2 million 466 thousand active Bursakart users, the new Bursakart will be given to the receivables from Bursakarts specially designed for the 100th Anniversary of the Republic. In addition, Bursakart owners who want to share in the enthusiasm of the 100th anniversary will be able to buy these cards if they want. Bursa residents will be able to obtain their 100th Anniversary commemorative cards from the kiosks at the stations or from BursaKart dealers.

These days have not come easily.

Bursa Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Alinur Aktaş introduced Bursakarts specially designed for the 100th Anniversary to the public at Şehreküstü Station. Reminding that the Republic of Turkey did not come easy these days, President Aktaş said, “Especially the first quarter of the twentieth century was not easy at all. From the Balkan War to the First World War, we went through important troubles and on October 29, 1923, we established the Republic. Thank God, we are now in the centennial of the Republic. We are also doing some special works for the 100th anniversary. One of them is our Bursakart, which we use for urban transportation. Hopefully it will be requested a lot. I commemorate all our martyrs, especially Veteran Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, the elders of that period, our veterans and all our ancestors with mercy and gratitude. May Allah grant us the ability to carry forward the trust we have received in the best possible way and to hand it over to future generations.
