In 2022, 700 million TL of ovine milk was obtained from 19 shepherds producing with ancient traditions through the Mera İzmir project, through cooperatives. It was aimed to reach more producers and the districts of Kiraz, Tire, Bayındır and Torbalı were added to the milk purchases made in Bergama, Kınık, Menemen, Foça, Seferihisar, Güzelbahçe, Karaburun. Goat milk continues to be purchased for 17 TL and sheep milk for 21 TL from producers producing in accordance with the criteria of “Another Agriculture is Possible”. 55 thousand liters of milk were purchased in Mera İzmir and Çamavlu only in May. A total of 1 million 250 thousand TL support was provided to the producer in a month. This year, a total of 565 thousand liters of milk has been purchased since the milk purchasing process, and a total of 7 million 250 thousand TL support has been provided to the producer. It is aimed to purchase 587 thousand liters of milk during the year and to provide 50 million TL of support to the producer.
