The Buca Municipality Belenbaşı Yörük Culture Promotion and Cherry Festival, hosted by Buca Municipality and Belenbaşı Headman, started for the 16th time. The opening ceremony of the festival, which includes important values of the nomadic culture, was held in memory of the headman of Belenbaşı and the Aegean Region İzmir Yörük Turkmen Federation President İsmet İlhan, who died as a result of a heart attack in November last year; Mayor of Izmir Metropolitan Municipality Tunç Soyer and Neptün Soyer, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Köy-Koop İzmir Union, Mayor of Buca Erhan Kılıç and his wife Zuhal Kılıç, CHP İzmir 23-24. The festival started with a cortege march. The festival, which included colorful events such as folk dances, keskek tattoo, and the show of Belenbaşı Yörük Village Theater, continued with concerts.
