Alparslan Bayraktar, who was appointed to the Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources, was appointed in the new cabinet. Alparslan Bayraktar, who served as the Minister of Energy and Natural Resources in the new government, completed his undergraduate education at the Mechanical Engineering Department of Istanbul Technical University. Bayraktar holds MA degrees in Economic Law from Bilkent University Faculty of Law and in International Relations from Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy. He completed his PhD in Energy Economics and Policy at Middle East Technical University, Department of Earth System Sciences.
Between 2016-2018, ETKB Deputy Undersecretary and General Directorate of Foreign Relations and European Union; He served as a Board Member at the Energy Market Regulatory Authority between 2010-2016. Before his public duties, he worked in the private sector at home and abroad.
Bayraktar, who has worked in the field of energy management and regulations within international organizations, has served as the President of the Energy Regulators Confederation (ICER) and the Energy Regulators Regional Association (ERRA). Bayraktar is currently the Türkiye President of the World Energy Council.
