A brochure was prepared by the Ministry of National Education, in which expert guidance teachers and psychological counselors make various suggestions so that students who will take the central exam on Sunday, June 4, can manage the process effectively and cope with exam anxiety within the scope of the Transition System to High Schools.

The following recommendations were included in the brochure prepared by the Ministry of National Education, General Directorate of Special Education and Guidance Services for students who will take the central exam:

Before the exam;

  • You can spend time with your family and friends.
  • You should keep your motivation high and stay away from situations and people that will demoralize you.
  • You should motivate yourself to do your best in the exam.
  • You should be careful to spend the day before the exam as a normal day without strenuous activities.
  • In order to plan the transportation time and route on the day of the exam, you should go to the school where you will take the exam before leaving the last day and see it on site.
  • You should pay attention to your sleep pattern and take care to get enough sleep. You should not sleep late or early.
  • You can do relaxation and breathing exercises before going to sleep.
  • You should eat healthy and in moderation without disturbing your diet.
  • You should have a balanced breakfast and avoid consuming unfamiliar foods.
  • You should wear comfortable clothes suitable for the weather.
  • You must set off to the exam site so that it is not late.
  • You should make sure that you do not have items such as mobile phones, jewelry, etc., that should not be brought to the exam.
  • You should not forget to prepare what you need to have with you (ID, water, etc.) before the exam.
  • Students with special education needs will be able to use the tools and devices they use constantly in the exam, provided that they bring their own.
  • Remember… Exam stress is normal, but you can reduce this stress with the preparations you make before the exam and the strategies you will apply during the exam.

During the exam;

  • You can have a successful exam process by taking the time needed to understand the questions and thinking about your answers.
  • Be sure to stay calm and read the questions during the exam. Also, try to answer all the questions by using your time efficiently during the exam.
  • Finally, remember that the test criteria are only an assessment measure and may not fully reflect the real you. Whatever happens after the exam, remember that we will be proud of you. Be confident and show your best performance in the exam.
