Registration for the free 2023 Summer Sports Schools organized by Keçiören Municipality starts on 12 June. Basketball, volleyball, handball, kick boxing, judo, taekwondo, tennis, folk games, athletics, wrestling, karate, badminton, ice skating, gymnastics, table tennis, darts, chess, mental games, traditional archery, wushu and judo. All children between the ages of 21-7 will be able to benefit from the Summer Sports Schools, which will provide training in 14 different branches. Keçiören Mayor Turgut Altınok, who stated that they open a Summer Sports School every year to encourage the youth of Keçiören to sports, said, “Keçiören is a sports city. There is no excuse for those who want to exercise. We have made many new sports investments in our district. We renewed all our venues, from the indoor sports halls of our schools to the carpet pitches and other sports areas in our neighborhoods. Our young people can benefit from these for free. On the other hand, sport is important for a healthy generation. Almost none of the young people who do sports have bad habits. The number of people who do sports and go to the hospital is also very low.
