The movie About My Father is a movie directed by Laura Terruso from a screenplay co-written by Sebastian Maniscalco and Austen Earl. He was also inspired by Maniscalco's real life and his relationship with his own father. He plays himself in the movie.
It revolves around Sebastian, who is encouraged by his fiancee to take his traditional Italian immigrant father to a weekend reunion with his wealthy and eccentric family. Although there is a culture clash between the two families at the beginning, they eventually come together, accept each other's differences and become a united family.
Alongside Maniscalco and De Niro, the cast includes Leslie Bibb, Anders Holm, David Rasche, Kim Cattrall and Brett Dier.
