Organized for the second time in İzmir, the pioneer of sustainable cities, We-Cycle Environment and Recycling Technologies Fair will be held between 9 – 11 May 2023. Seminars and events to be held within the scope of the fair will also draw attention to the importance of recycling and shed light on the future of the industry.
The preparations for the We-Cycle Environment and Recycling Technologies Fair, hosted by Izmir Metropolitan Municipality and organized in partnership with İZFAŞ and EFOR Fair Organization, have been completed. The fair, which will be held in Fuarizmir, will also raise the issues of sorting waste at source, creating a recycling culture and preventing unnecessary resource use in cities.
The fair organized under the auspices of the TR Ministry of Commerce; Small and Medium Enterprises Development and Support Administration (KOSGEB), Aegean Region Chamber of Industry, Aegean Exporters' Associations, İzmir Chamber of Commerce, İzmir Commodity Exchange, TUDAM Evaluable Waste Materials Industrialists Association and Aegean Plastic Industrialists Solidarity Association (Ege PLASDER).
In the seminar organized within the scope of the fair, the experts will come together with the participants and visitors at the event stage to be created in the A hall and the A Hall Seminar Hall. The fair, which will host valuable guests for three days, will shed light on the future of recycling culture. Representatives from important organizations of the recycling sector, foundations, chambers, associations and local governments in the talks; from waste management to application examples in the world and in Turkey, from investment incentives in the sector to spatial planning problems, from green growth policies to Zero Waste Regulation. Güven İslamoğlu, Producer of Nature and Environment Programs, will also give a speech on “Environment and Sustainability”.
Within the scope of the fair, it will also make a difference with its exhibitions and workshops in order to raise awareness of recycling. While Burçin Bayer Babaoğlu's Music Concert from Waste and Rosa Waste Workshop with Fırat Karapınar will be held during the fair, many activities will be organized for children. Activities aiming at recycling will be held under the leadership of İZELMAN Kindergartens, one of the affiliates of İzmir Metropolitan Municipality. Students participating in the activities will transform waste materials into different and useful products. In addition, teams and teams that participated in FRC, FLL, WRO, Teknofest, VEX Robotics, Robotex etc. tournaments and focused especially on forward and recycling and sustainability studies will take place at the İZELMAN Robotics İzmir Technology Teams stand at the fair. During the fair, various campaigns will be organized regarding the recycling of wastes in order to encourage recycling.
