Serving within the body of SAMULAŞ, a subsidiary of Samsun Metropolitan Municipality, the trams carried 2023 million 4 thousand 34 passengers by making 701 thousand 7 trips in the first 350 months of 371.
In the first 4 months of the year, 1 million 324 thousand 325 passengers benefited from the trams free of charge. Citizens over the age of 65 made up the majority of those offered free services. The trams, which carry 289 thousand 61 passengers with an average of 107 daily trips, reached the highest number of passengers on 20 January 2023 with 90 thousand 800 passengers.
Gökhan Beler, General Manager of SAMULAŞ, said, “We serve our passengers with a total of 89 trains and 29 trams. The safety and comfort of our passengers is important to us. We carry out our work in this direction as well. Our trams provide uninterrupted service to our citizens between 06:10 and 23:30. We are working at a high capacity,” he said.
