Expressing that they made history by winning 9 medals at the European Wrestling Championship held in Croatia, and answering the questions of the press members, ASKİ Sports Club President Yüksel Arslan said, “Our athletes, who have always made us proud in the world, by raising our star and crescent flag to the highest level, are at the European Wrestling Championship in Croatia. He received 9 medals. As ASKİ Spor, we became the club with the most medals in the European Championship and made history. Again in Weightlifting, we won 8 medals at the Senior Weightlifting Championship held in Yerevan, the capital of Armenia. We are happy with the success of our athletes," he said.

Emphasizing that they made history in wrestling, ASKİ Sports Club General Coordinator Abdullah Çakmar said, “We have had two European Championships, one is the European Wrestling Championship in Croatia and the other is the European Weightlifting Championship in Yerevan. We made history by winning 9 medals in wrestling. The gold medals received by our team captains Taha Akgül and Rıza Kayaalp were very important. Taha equaled his own record. Rıza also equaled 12 championships of Alexander Karelin. These championships will never be erased from history. In the European Weightlifting Championships, our sister Cansu and other athletes put up a great fight there and had our National Anthem sung there. Rıza Kayaalp (National Wrestler): “As ASKİ Spor, we are a club that has brought medals to our country for years.
