The students of the Gifted Education Program, who visited the Eskişehir Metropolitan Municipality Local Seed Center, brought together the local seeds and the seedlings obtained from the seeds with the soil. The little ones who enjoyed the event had the opportunity to get to know both nature and production processes closely.
Eskişehir Metropolitan Municipality continues to raise awareness with the seed exchange festivals and the distribution of seedlings obtained from local seeds, while delivering the local seeds it produces at the Local Seed Production Center to both Eskişehir and all over Turkey.
While the children of the future are not forgotten within the scope of the works, the children are told about the local seeds, the planting of the seedlings, the conservation of nature by using water sparingly, and the production processes from farm to table.
In this context, Gifted Education Program students who visited the Metropolitan Municipality Local Seed Production Center had an unforgettable day.
Under the supervision of the officials of the Metropolitan Municipality Parks and Gardens Department, local seeds, how to plant seeds, how to water them, and the stages of bringing the seedlings obtained from the seeds to the soil were explained. After the briefing, the students planted the local seeds in the pots and brought the seedlings obtained from the seeds to the soil.
The students and their teachers, who had the pleasure of making both theoretical and practical applications with the fun and educational activity, thanked the Mayor of the Metropolitan Municipality, Yılmaz Büyükerşen, for the opportunity offered to them.
