Cargo and postal operators, which distributed 2022 billion postal shipments in 1,7 and commissioned investments that could double their volume, met at the Cargo, Courier, Logistics Summit and Fair.

Bringing together the representatives of the cargo, courier and logistics sector and the stakeholders of the sector, II. Cargo, Courier, Logistics Summit and Fair (Post & Parcel II. Summit & I. Expo – PPSE) was held on May 4-5, 2023 at Pullman Istanbul Congress Center. PPSE, which was implemented under the leadership of the Turkish Cargo, Courier and Logistics Operators Association (KARID) with the support of the Information Technologies and Communications Authority (BTK), shed light on the present and future of the sector for two days. PPSE hosted 100 visitors. 55 companies attended the summit with stands.

We have the power to double the number of cargo we carry

Expressing that the Cargo, Courier, Logistics Summit and Fair, held for the second time this year, hosts the technologies that will move the industry forward, Fatih Önyol, President of the Turkish Cargo, Courier and Logistics Operators Association, said, “PPSE mediates the growth and development of our industry. The cargo, courier and logistics sector has become a critical component of our country with the benefits it provides to the Turkish economy. As a sector, we are aware of the vital importance for all sectors and we shape our investments accordingly. We have made our investments so that we can double the number of cargo we carry, which are the cargo and postal operators that distributed 2022 billion postal items in 1,7. For this, it is critical for the industry to digitize and transform with autonomous technologies. We talked about both today's and tomorrow's technologies for two days at PPSE.”

Opening the Summit, TR Deputy Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Dr. Ömer Fatih Sayan and Information Technologies and Communications Authority President Ömer Abdullah Karagözoğlu also visited the stand areas and received information about the latest technologies from the sector representatives.

The developments in the agenda of the sector were discussed

During two days at PPSE, 43 speakers, who are experts in their fields, shared important information on five sessions and eight special presentations. At PPSE, the regulations concerning the sector, the future vision of the e-commerce sector living in its golden age, the importance of the logistics sector that takes fast action in natural disasters, green logistics practices in line with the zero carbon target, and development areas in the call centers where the sector can learn the expectations of its customers were discussed.
